Login to Hosting Portal using your valid credential. 2. Navigate to list of your website and choose which one do you want to remotely manage.
3. Click "Management" tab under Web Site Properties page.
4. Type username and password for website remote management only, click "Enable".
Remote management using local IIS Manager 7.0 now enable, before continue to next step, make sure that port 8172 allow on your network, please check your firewall or contact your ISP regarding this port. To check this port, open your command prompt and type "telnet domain 8172", for Windows Vista and Windows 7 user, please activate telnet client before executing telnet command. Download IIS Manager 7.0 32 bit (x86) - http://go.microsoft.com/?linkid=9655671 Install IIS Manager 7.0 and continue to next step.
5. Connect to a Site...
6. For Server name and site name type your domain/website, in the example picture, we type "erudeye.web.id".
7. Type your username and password that created on step 4.
8. If there is an information pop up window about Server Certificate Alert, click Connect.
9. Remote connection success, type your connection preference name.
10. Select a Database Manager Assembly as an add on for your IIS Manager 7.0 to manage your database on web.config connection string.
11. Well done, IIS Manager for Remote Administration ready to use.
